The Island of Baltra in Galapagos is served by the Seymour Airport, the busiest on the archipelago. This airport is famous for having been the first "green" airport in the world, since 2012, with a terminal consisting of steel tubes recycled from oil drilling platforms in the Amazon. It operates on solar energy, wind farms, and other clean and renewable technologies. You can find a restaurant here and small gift shops. Signs and announcements are in both English and Spanish. The most popular routes from Baltra Airport are Quito and Guayaquil.
