The Galapagos islands are an amazing place to explore, and you have the change to come across unique and fascinating wildlife. Located 960km west of Ecuador's mainland, the archipelago is comprised of 13 major islands, 6 small ones and 42 volcanic islets. It offers one of the most wonderful and varied marine and plant species in the world, most of them endemic to Galapagos. Galapagos fur seals, penguins, sea lions, giant tortoises and iguanas are just some of them. There are a multitude of great spots for water activities as well, like swimming, snorkeling and diving.
