Overview

Punta Mejía is located on the southwestern coast of Marchena Island. The calm, deep and clear waters make Punta Mejía one of the best snorkeling and diving sites in Galapagos. You will no doubt encounter a variety of shark species, green sea turtles, rays and even dolphins in this magical undersea world. On this side of the island, there are coves and grottos where you can spot fur seals and Marchena lava lizards. It is also a popular hangout spot for seabirds, like Nazca and blue-footed boobies, the Red-billed Tropicbird and Galapagos Petrels.
