Ecuador can be visited all year. In the highlands, June to September is usually the driest season, with clear views of the volcanoes; from October to May mornings are often clear and showers come in the afternoon.
Quito sits at about 2,850 m (9,350 ft) and some excursions go higher. Our itineraries build up gradually; take it easy on the first day, drink plenty of water and tell us about any health concerns.
