How last-minute fares work

In the weeks before departure, cruise operators release their unsold cabins at reduced fares. The saving is real: the crossed-out price is the operator’s usual fare for the same departure, and your written offer confirms both before you book.

Book your Galápagos flights with us as soon as your cabin is confirmed. There are daily flights from Quito and Guayaquil to Baltra and San Cristóbal, but fares rise close to the date, and many cruise operators ask their guests to fly on the flights they reserve. We book them at the net fare the operator gives us, and we recommend arriving in Ecuador two days before your Galápagos flight, in case your international flight is delayed or canceled. Remember the Galápagos National Park entrance fee, paid in cash on arrival, and the transit control card you buy at the airport before you fly.

Last-minute or not, every cruise you book with us includes complimentary nights at our own Las Terrazas de Dana Boutique Lodge & Spa in Mindo Cloud Forest, before or after Galápagos, subject to the lodge’s availability on your dates.

What is a last-minute Galápagos cruise?

A departure in the coming weeks that still has cabins. When the operator reduces its fare, we show it here with the saving, until the cabins sell out.

Are the savings real?

Yes. We only show a special fare when today’s price is lower than the operator’s usual fare for the same departure, and both appear in your written offer.

How late can I book?

Usually up to a few days before departure, if cabins remain and your flights work. Tell us your dates and we will check it with the operator straight away.

Do last-minute cruises include the nights in Mindo Cloud Forest?

Yes. Every cruise booked with Dana Tours includes complimentary nights at our own Las Terrazas de Dana Boutique Lodge & Spa in Mindo Cloud Forest (usually 2–3, more on request), with all meals and private transfers from Quito, subject to the lodge’s availability on your dates. Departures marked ★ include our Mindo All-Inclusive program.
