What a March cruise is like

March is the peak of the warm, rainy season. Air temperatures reach about 25–31 °C (77–88 °F), the sun is intense and an occasional heavy shower cools the afternoon. The sea is mostly calm, and the water, around 24 °C (76 °F), is ideal for long snorkeling sessions. Bring a hat, a light rain jacket and plenty of sunscreen.

What you can see from the yacht in March

At the end of the month, the waved albatrosses return to Española and begin their courtship.
Marine iguanas nest on Fernandina, and green sea turtles are still nesting.
Galápagos penguins and flightless cormorants are active along the western coasts.
Reef fish are abundant, with excellent snorkeling.
