In April the warm season begins to wind down. Days are about 22–30 °C (72–86 °F), the rains become less frequent and the islands are still lush and green. The sea is usually calm, with water around 24 °C (76 °F) and excellent visibility underwater.

What you can see from the yacht in April

On Española, waved albatrosses perform their courtship dances.
Green sea turtle hatchlings emerge from their nests and race to the sea.
Land iguana hatchlings appear on Isabela, and the last giant tortoises of the season hatch.
Rays and reef fish are very active, with great snorkeling.

Is April a good month for a Galápagos cruise?

Yes, it is one of the best: calm, clear water, green islands after the rains and the albatross courtship on Española.

What are the sea and the weather like on a April cruise?

Warm season, with air temperatures of about 22–30 °C (72–86 °F) and water around 24 °C (76 °F). Sea: calm and very clear. Rain: rains easing.

How far ahead should I book a cruise for April?

April is usually a calm month for travel, and three to six months ahead is enough. If Easter falls in April, book that week earlier.

Do these cruises include the nights in Mindo?

Yes.
